About Central County Regional Occupational Program (CCROP)
Serving the Garden Grove, Orange and Santa Ana Unified School Districts in the center of bustling Orange County, Central County Regional Occupational Program (CCROP) provides career and technical education programs that prepare students for entry into Orange County’s high-skill, high-wage job market. Through a proven combination of academic and applied instruction, project-based learning, on-the-job internships, and career planning and guidance, CCROP students have successfully entered all walks of life.
Credit for the success of CCROP’s students rests on the expertise of its 135 industry-experienced instructors who represent over 80 careers areas. Since 1972, CCROP has served 393,286 high school and adult students. CCROP serves an integral role in Orange County’s career preparation system by offering hundreds of tuition-free classes that meet the needs of the local labor market.

Our PurposeThe purpose of Central County ROP is to encourage students who enroll in Career Technical Education programs to:
1. explore 21st Century careers 2. prepare for higher education 3. develop a strong work ethic 4. acquire critical thinking and problem-solving skills 5. train for high-demand occupations, and/or 6. upgrade skills for professional advancement.
Where Can I Take an ROP Class?
CCROP programs are located on all high school campuses and at CCROP’s four regional ROP centers, including:
1. the Lincoln and Chapman Hettinga Education Centers in Garden Grove 2. the Ritchey Center in Santa Ana, and 3. the Career Education Center in Orange.
All four CCROP campuses also offer career guidance, job placement assistance, and a variety of other services.
